About Prelim
Prelim is a fast-growing, US-based remote startup that's transforming how banks onboard customers. We streamline account opening to improve speed and the customer experience.
If you're excited to shape the future of banking, we encourage you to apply. We seek driven, ambitious people excited to make an impact through innovation.

Why we're looking for you
With enormous growth and sales consistently beating quotas, we need our first Sales Engineer to drive even more revenue. Our product team has been helping, but we require dedicated technical sales talent as we scale.
You'll leverage your engineering background to build relationships and ensure customers understand how to expand services on our platform. Given aggressive goals this year, we need the right team to turn prospects into happy customers.

What you'll do
No two days will be the same. You'll craft technical demos showcasing our capabilities, directly engage with prospects to understand needs, answer questions, and ensure successful rollouts. As an early member, you'll also help build processes to make our sales team even more successful.

Who you'll work with
You'll work hand-in-hand with our Account Executives and across departments with teammates who are customer-focused and love collaborating to shape the future of banking. If you share our passion for innovation through technology, we can't wait to hear from you!

In this role you'll

    • Talk with potential customers, understand their problems, and assess whether or not Prelim is a good fit
    • Demo the Prelim product, answer questions about Prelim, ultimately convincing them Prelim is the correct solution
    • Create technical content to demonstrate best practices (e.g. sample apps, documentation, videos, etc.)
    • Suss out the blockers for a customer in adopting Prelim, and overcome them
    • Dive into our codebase to understand technical limitations in Prelim that need solving via code (e.g. a bug, a missing feature, etc.) to close a deal
    • Serve as the primary, ongoing technical point of contact for our users in the presales process
    • Answer technical questions from our customers as they come up

The skillset you bring

    • Experience working in the presales phase with large Enterprise or institutional customers
    • Technical experience in a professional environment, ideally a startup
    • Strong knowledge of SQL, Javascript, and integrating with APIs
    • Comfort exploring Prelim's codebase (React / Node)
    • Previous experience talking with customers and solving their problems
    • Ability to think on your feet, and solve problems during calls with technical customers
$115,000 - $120,000 a year
This role has a commission plan as well which is on top of the base salary.
