As a Senior Mobile Engineer at Medeloop, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality and performant iOS applications. You will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end mobile application development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. In this role, you will also play a key part in integrating HealthKit functionality into our mobile applications, enabling users to leverage health and fitness data. Your deep understanding of iOS development, proficiency in Apple's ecosystem, and experience with HealthKit integration will be critical to your success in this role.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to gather requirements, define user stories, and develop iOS applications that meet business objectives.
  • Design and implement complex, reusable, and scalable iOS software components using Swift and Apple's development frameworks.
  • Develop and understand the iOS platform deeply, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility across different devices and OS versions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance tuning to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
  • Stay updated with the latest iOS development trends, frameworks, and technologies, and actively contribute to adopting new tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate mobile applications with server-side APIs and services.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to support their growth and development.
  • Stay informed about emerging mobile technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to leverage them to enhance our mobile applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in mobile development, with a focus on iOS
  • Proven experience as an iOS Mobile Engineer or similar role, with a track record of delivering high-quality iOS applications.
  • Proficiency in Swift programming language and a strong understanding of Apple's development frameworks (UIKit, Core Data, Core Animation, etc.).
  • Experience with iOS design patterns, architectural principles, and best practices for building scalable and maintainable mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles and experience in developing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and App Store submission process.
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and services, utilizing RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, etc.) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for learning and staying updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the mobile development ecosystem.
