Our momentum is powered by a leadership team drawn from the likes of McKinsey, Calm, Red Bull, and Netflix, and backed by global investors who specialize in consumer and tech-forward ventures. Together, we’re leveraging data, supply chain technology, and a sustainability-first model to disrupt a $500 billion-dollar industry.

We’re hiring builders. Operators. Creators. People who want to move fast, learn faster, and grow alongside a company that’s reshaping snacking. If you’re looking for a company where your work shapes the business—and your career accelerates with it—welcome to Fruitist.

At Fruitist, we’re harnessing the power of data to revolutionize sustainable agriculture, and we’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help lead the way. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you’ll work with development teams to accelerate delivery, improve code quality and security, and streamline processes. By identifying bottlenecks and implementing infra-as-code, you’ll enhance developer experience and support services across multiple clouds. You’ll also track metrics and manage access to information. Together, you’ll help drive innovation and efficiency in agriculture through data-driven solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and resolve DevSecOps bottlenecks in development and deployment workflows to optimize agricultural technology performance and ensure system reliability

  • Deploy infrastructure supporting analytics teams (Athena, S3, Airflow)

  • Plan and execute secure, scalable infrastructure strategies across AWS and hybrid environments to support real-time farming operations and analytics

  • Define and enforce coding and infrastructure standards, leveraging infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate and secure provisioning

  • Implement DevSecOps best practices, integrating security into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, and AWS-native tools (e.g., CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Inspector)

  • Manage development and production environments, proactively addressing incidents and vulnerabilities while driving observability via AWS CloudWatch and GuardDuty

  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, ECS, or EKS, ensuring reliable and scalable delivery of precision farming solutions

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and analytics teams to deliver secure, efficient, and high-impact solutions across agriculture

  • Monitor security risks and compliance, and lead remediation efforts aligned with AWS security frameworks and internal governance policies

 What You’ll Need

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Mathematics and Statistics a plus)

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, with proven hands-on work in cloud security and infrastructure automation, particularly within AWS environments

  • Deep expertise in AWS services (IAM, KMS, S3, EC2, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, etc.) and security best practices for cloud-native architecture

  • Experience embedding security throughout the CI/CD lifecycle, including static and dynamic analysis, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning

  • Proficient in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)

  • Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles, security compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, NIST, ISO), and automating security controls within pipelines

  • Proficient in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm), including securing container workloads

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD, with a focus on secure build and deployment pipelines

  • Familiarity with threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response processes in hybrid and cloud environments

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to evangelize DevSecOps practices across cross-functional teams

If you meet most of the qualifications above and connect with our mission to inspire enjoyable and nutritious snacking, we want to hear from you! While we are tech-forward in our embrace of AI to enhance our growing capabilities, we’re human-centric in our hiring. This means all applications will be reviewed by humans, including yours. We aim to respond to applicants within two weeks. We look forward to hearing from you!
