Senior Analyst, Business Operations

In this role, you will serve as a key member of Natcast's Business Operations team, functioning as an internal management consultant to drive organizational efficiency and effectiveness. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, developing and maintaining a performance dashboard, and managing projects that not only monitor the health and progress of our business but also identify and maximize organizational opportunities.
Every day, you will leverage your analytical skills and business acumen to partner with business owners, understand their goals and constraints and provide strategic insights that inform decision-making across Natcast. Your work will span from detailed quantitative analysis to high-level strategic planning, requiring you to seamlessly transition between tactical execution and big-picture thinking.
To thrive in this role, you must possess a strong background in management consulting (internal or external), exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to harness data visualization to translate complex data into actionable business strategies. You should be equally comfortable diving deep into data sets and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

As a key component of the CHIPS and Science Act, Natcast is dedicated to advancing semiconductor R&D in the United States, convening government, industry, and academia to address the most challenging barriers to technological progress in the domestic semiconductor industry.
The Senior Analyst for Business Operations plays a crucial role in optimizing Natcast's operations and strategy, directly contributing to our mission of re-establishing U.S. leadership in semiconductor design and manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive data collection, reporting, and analysis to gain insights into organizational performance and opportunities
Develop and manage impactful workstreams that monitor business health and drive operational improvements, partnering with business owners to understand their challenges and opportunities
Lead project management efforts for strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and effective stakeholder communication
Perform advanced quantitative analysis to support decision-making across various departments
Identify and evaluate opportunities for process improvement and organizational efficiency
Develop and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track organizational progress
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions and best practices
Prepare and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex analyses into clear, actionable insights
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform Natcast's strategic positioning
Support the development of business cases for new initiatives or investments
Assist in the creation of annual strategic plans and long-term organizational roadmaps
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field; 3+ years of experience in management consulting or a similar analytical role
Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to structure and solve complex business problems
Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Strong project management capabilities with experience leading cross-functional initiatives
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
Proficiency in creating compelling presentations and executive-level reports
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech sectors
Knowledge of public-private partnerships or non-profit operations
Familiarity with government contracting and funding mechanisms
Experience with process improvement methodologies
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Programming skills (e.g., Python, R) for advanced data analysis
