ezCater is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our MSI Engineering team, a key part of the
Partner Solutions organization. This team is responsible for foundational capabilities, building and
maintaining services that serve workloads related to menus, orders, users, payments, identity /
authentication, and third-party service integrations. As the DevOps leader in this domain, you’ll be
guiding us on our new cloud infrastructure expansion while supporting our day-to-day software
development life cycle & a number of other fundamental tech capabilities. The goal? Help ezCater to
grow its engineering backbone, setting us up for the long haul.

Our working environment is primarily distributed with an ability to gather in flexible office spaces
to collaborate.

What You'll Do:

  • Learn the existing MSI cloud (we use Azure) and on-premise environment. In the meantime, create documentation for future reference and training
  • Build and maintain cloud CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate and maintain code deployment to various environments in the cloud.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and metrics capabilities.
  • Monitor Azure System health dashboard, metrics and security alerts.
  • Work closely with Engineers to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and architecture of our cloud environment.
  • Manage and scale cloud-based containerized infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement new features.
  • Carryout software/system/cloud infra upgrades/updates in a timely manner with Engineers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise.
  • Cost saving – ensure we are spending wisely on cloud infrastructure.

What You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps principles, Azure DevOps, Linux/PowerShell/Bash, docker, AKS.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools.
  • Have a good understanding and have the experience of creating Azure services using Infrastructure as code.
  • 2+ years experience with containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Extensive full-stack web development experience.
  • Working knowledge of server-side and client-side frameworks. Java and Coldfusion (nice to have).
  • Good knowledge SQL / relational database experience (we use AzureSQL).
  • Goal orientation and a record of success managing cloud infrastructure.
  • A strong appetite for solving problems while dealing with high levels of ambiguity.

The national cash compensation range for this role is $142,000 - $172,000* per year.

*Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as equity, 401K or medical, dental or vision insurance).
