About the Role:

We are looking to add a Senior DevOps Engineer to our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of professional experience in an infrastructure or SecDevOps role. You will be responsible for automating, scaling, monitoring, optimizing, and securing modern cloud-native applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with engineers, customer support, and other internal stakeholders to maintain and enhance Traject Data’s services, focusing on operations, security, reliability, efficiency/automation, and cost optimization.
• Infrastructure and application monitoring: Develop and maintain insights into application and infrastructure performance, including metrics, logs, alarms, dashboards, and on-call rotation.
• Documentation: Write and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks and infrastructure diagrams.
• Process improvement: Provide insights and recommendations to improve our operations, processes, and products.

Requirements:

• Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in infrastructure/SecDevOps roles.
• Automation Expertise: Expert-level experience in automating operations tasks such as deployments, CI/CD, and security updates using Bash, Docker, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Monitoring Expertise: Hands-on experience monitoring modern cloud applications at scale, using tools like Loki/Prometheus/Grafana, New Relic, AWS CloudWatch, and AWS CloudTrail.
• Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud application security best practices, with bonus points for experience with compliance standards like SOC2.
• API Scaling: Strong experience in scaling APIs for data-intensive and network-intensive workloads.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent) and infrastructure as code.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile processes and Scrum.
• Bonus: Experience with data extraction.
• Soft Skills: Ambitious, positive, and reliable. Able to balance pragmatism and perfectionism.
• Language: English proficiency required, Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Work Equipment: Candidates must have their own equipment.
