About the role
Persona is looking for a QA Analyst to join the Product team. If you have a knack for finding structured ways to test various scenarios and use cases and translating product requirements into a list of test cases, secretly (or openly) thrill in finding ways to break the system, and get excited about working cross-functionally to make an impact on internal and external stakeholder then this could be a great fit!
You will help our Engineering and Product team pursue relentlessly high standards by holding ourselves to a high bar today and a higher one tomorrow through comprehensive testing and thorough reporting. You will help our team and our customers by making sure the products we ship are in top shape.
In your day-to-day, you will conduct a series of smoke and comprehensive testing for our deploy while balancing focused testing for launches of strategic customers’ flow or important features. You will summarize results for internal stakeholders, develop repeatable processes, and create best practices for Engineering and Product so we can improve the whole process together. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Post-Sales.
This is a full-time role with an initial 3-month term, after which candidates may be considered for a permanent, ongoing position based on performance and business needs.
What you'll achieve
- Work with Deploy Captains to certify a deploy, help triage, and work with teams to resolve blockers
- Deeply understand and test the core functionalities of the Persona Platform and key customers’ flows
- Work with PMs and Engineers on guiding and providing best practices for QA/Testing parties
- Work with various Eng on automating tests as much as possible so manual testing is done only when it is absolutely necessary
- Work with the external QA team to ensure tests are performed effectively on a timely manner
- Review PRDs, functional and design specifications
- Develop test plans, cases, scripts and reports
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members
- Perform testing on different devices, operating systems, and browsers
- Helping triage complex customer issues
What you'll bring to Persona
- 2-5 years of relevant QA technical experience
- Experience in Web-based software testing, Mobile device testing on iOS and Android, and API testing
- Ability to understand and create test plans
- Strong project management/planning skills
- A proven record of prioritizing and coordinating work across a large number of product teams
- Track record of collaborating with Product and Engineering teams and other QA analysts
- Resourceful self-starter who is willing to proactively reach out to find information and learn
- Comfortable devising structure for testing with ambiguous requirements
- You have a positive attitude and a growth mindset
Nice to haves
- Experience QA testing for a B2B enterprise platform
- Experience working at a fast-paced startup
- Experience in test automation
- Experience working with Datadog Synthetics and Charles Proxy
$70,000 - $120,000 a year
Compensation & Equity
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $70,000 - $120,000. Base salaries are just one component of the total compensation package and are determined by a number of factors such as years of experience, expertise, qualifications and more. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity packages that play a big part in recognizing you for the huge impact you will have on helping us achieve our mission. Please note, the salary range is a guideline that is subject to change without notice.
