Full-Stack Engineer
Location: Remote (within EMEA)
Team: Product & Engineering
Seniority: Mid–Senior
Type: Full-time
Transform global air logistics — one line of code at a time.
cargo.one is on a mission to revolutionise air cargo — an industry worth $123B — by bringing seamless digital infrastructure to airlines and freight forwarders. Backed by leading VCs like Index and Bessemer, we're scaling fast and building out our world-class engineering team.
We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join us in building tools, infrastructure, and user experiences that drive speed, automation, and quality across our platform. If you're excited about tackling complex technical challenges in a truly global, remote-first company — let’s talk.
What you’ll do:
Work across the stack with Python (Flask) and JavaScript (Vue.js), as well as PostgreSQL, Redis, gRPC, Celery, and GCP
Design, build, and deploy new features in collaboration with product, design, and operational teams
Drive architectural decisions and help evolve our microservices and CI/CD pipeline
Build internal tooling to help our colleagues work smarter, not harder
Own your code end-to-end: from implementation to monitoring and performance
Participate in code reviews, retros, and open feedback culture
Help us move from “manual” to “magic” — automating and simplifying wherever possible
What we’re looking for:
5+ years of engineering experience (we care more about impact than job titles)
Solid Python skills and professional experience with JavaScript frameworks
Good understanding of SQL and web application architecture
Passion for clean, testable, well-documented code
Curiosity and proactivity — you ask “why?”, challenge assumptions, and improve systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills in a remote-first team
Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress or similar is a plus
Never used Vue.js before? No problem. We value fundamentals over tools. If you’ve worked with React, Angular, or similar, you’ll pick it up fast.
What we offer:
Remote-first culture (work from anywhere in our supported EMEA regions)
Regular in-person offsites and team events
GitHub Copilot license and your preferred dev environment (PyCharm, VS Code, etc.)
Autonomy, impact, and a high-trust, low-ego environment
Competitive compensation with equity
The opportunity to modernise a global industry at scale
Why air cargo?
Imagine booking a flight without a platform like Skyscanner — that’s where air cargo is today. Most bookings still happen through emails and spreadsheets. At cargo.one, we're building the infrastructure to power fast, digital air freight booking — helping airlines and freight forwarders move goods more efficiently around the world.
