Job Description: 

The Software Engineer - AI will design, build, and scale backend and AI systems that power Wayvia’s product data intelligence platform. This role focuses onlarge-scale data ingestion, enrichment, and multi-LLM orchestration, ensuring accuracy and real-time insights across millions of products and retailers. 

 

Essential Function & Responsibilities: 

  • Design and maintainbackend APIs and orchestration services using Node.js/Express and Python. 
  • Builddata pipelines (ETL) to ingest, normalize, and enrich product data from multiple retailer and brand sources. 
  • Developmulti-LLM orchestration flows for product extraction, validation, and semantic enrichment. 
  • Implementembedding-based similarity search and semantic layers for product discovery and competitive analysis. 
  • Create resilientweb crawling systems with Playwright, ScraperAPI, and proxy management. 
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver APIs and data contracts that power Wayvia dashboards. 
  • Optimize backend systems forscalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Strong proficiency inNode.js/TypeScript and Python. 
  • Hands-on experience withweb crawling frameworks (Playwright, ScraperAPI, proxy rotation). 
  • Practical experience withLLMs, embeddings, or AI pipeline integration. 
  • Solid knowledge ofSQL, Snowflake, or other relational databases. 
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills. 
  • Ability to work in afast-paced, agile environment and deliver against deadlines. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience withLLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom pipelines). 
  • Familiarity withPrice/Stock monitoring, buy-box detection, or product intelligence systems. 
  • Knowledge ofcloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Render, Vercel) for scalable deployment. 
  • Exposure tofrontend integration (React, Material UI) for API/data contract alignment.

Location:
This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States.

Compensation:
The salary for this role is $100,000-120,000. Please note that our salary ranges are based on current market data and the offered compensation may vary based on experience, skills, location, and other factors permitted by law.
