Key Responsibilities
- Own technical strategy for broad or complex requirements with insightful and forward-looking approaches that go beyond the direct team and solve large open-ended problems.
- Actively own features or systems and define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems.
- Develop & implement tests for ensuring the quality, performance, & scalability of our application.
- Mentor other engineers and participate in code reviews, lightning talks, and other engineering-department activities.
- Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, processes, and culture.
- Assist in triaging and resolving production issues.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years experience
- Have written understandable, testable code with an eye toward maintainability.
- Strong generalist backend knowledge (databases, services, performance, profiling, caching)
- Solid experience with Golang and Kubernetes
- Strong communicator
