As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for a key component of our product, guiding them through the design, development, and delivery of reliable, scalable solutions. You will play a vital role in mentoring engineers, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with your product and design partners to drive the success of your team, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality projects that align with the company’s vision and achieve business goals.
- Partner with architects and lead efforts to improve the architecture, scalability, and performance of the team’s systems.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of growth, feedback, and continuous learning.
- Be a force multiplier for the squad to ensure they are unblocked and finding consistent momentum and velocity.
- Implement efficient processes for sprint planning, project tracking, and delivery to ensure consistent and reliable project execution.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams, ideally 3-7 engineers.
- Strong technical proficiency in your team’s tech stack, with the ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges.
- Experience with people management, including career development, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build consensus and navigate competing priorities across departments.
- Experience delivering projects on time and within budget, with a focus on technical excellence and business alignment.
- Experience with data-driven architecture and systems design, RESTful APIs, service oriented architecture.
- Proficiency utilizing SQL, NoSQL, in-memory and distributed SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, AuroraDB)
