About the Role
We’re looking for a Cloud Data Architect (Azure) to design and lead the next phase of our cloud data strategy. You’ll define and implement best practices for scaling data workloads across Azure and Snowflake, ensuring performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Working for a leading wealth management organisation that’s fully Azure-native, this role will be key in shaping a robust, compliant, and future-proof data platform — empowering data-driven insights that support exceptional financial advice and investment management.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement data architecture strategies across Azure and Snowflake, optimising for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
 - Lead the integration of Snowflake with Azure services such as Data Lake, Synapse, and Blob Storage.
 - Design and maintain data models and schemas, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with business requirements.
 - Establish cost governance frameworks and monitor performance metrics to ensure optimal resource usage.
 - Oversee Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) development using Terraform or Bicep for environment provisioning and management.
 - Ensure security, compliance, and access control frameworks meet financial services standards and regulatory obligations.
 - Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and compliance teams to align architecture with organisational goals.
 - Advise on emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve the Azure data ecosystem.

Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in cloud data architecture, with a focus on Azure-native platforms.
 - Proven expertise with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Blob Storage — designing and scaling data pipelines and storage solutions.
 - Hands-on experience integrating Snowflake with Azure services, including authentication, ingestion, and cost/performance tuning.
 - Strong background in data modelling, schema design, and query optimisation.
 - Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Bicep.
 - Solid understanding of security, compliance, and access management, preferably within financial services or regulated environments.
 - Ability to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable data architecture solutions.

Nice to Have
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments or hybrid data architectures.
 - Familiarity with CI/CD automation for data infrastructure.
 - Experience mentoring teams or leading cross-functional data initiatives.
 - Understanding of governance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR) or financial data compliance standards.

Benefits
- Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter)
 - No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just words
 - Day 1 Benefits: Laptop and full medical insurance provided
 - Support That Matters:Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are shared
 - True Belonging: A long-term career where your contributions are valued
