Description

Dandy is seeking a talented Senior CAD/3D Software Engineer to join our team. This role is a blend of front-end and full-stack development. You will lead product initiatives supporting Dandy’s 3D toolset across our internal supply chain.  These internal tools help us drive high-quality and consistent patient-matched design efficiently at scale.  You will also be building esthetic and intuitive customer-facing 3D experiences that allow our clients to comprehensively review, critique, interact, and collaborate with the design process. 

These experiences allow our doctors to be a partners in the outcome of the prosthetic fabrication.  You will also help orchestrate offline/back-end 3D processing routines that persist artifacts to cloud storage and submit results and metadata to relational databases. You will be responsible for helping to improve and maintain our visual 3D components through testing and architectural improvements.

These contributions will have a vital impact on our ability to continue our growth and further innovate on an increasingly successful operating model. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make significant contributions to the design, architecture, and implementation of our web-based CAD editing and review platform.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to assist in integrating core 3D operations with front-end and server-side infrastructure.

  • Participate in the entire product development process: from discovery through development, testing, delivery, instrumentation, and observation.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to collect needs and assist in implementation

Education and Experience

  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer in front-end and full-stack development

  • 2+ years of experience building CAD, CAM, FEA, or CFD applications

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in developing graphical applications in TypeScript/Javascript

  • Experience with reactive front-end languages.  React, Angular, or Vue

  • Experience with WebGL, 3D web ecosystem (Three.js or Babylon.js)

  • Familiarity with transforms, camera matrices, and 3D operations

  • Comfort with back-end systems (nest, next, node, graphql, etc)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders

  • Impact-driven, independently motivated, and self-starter mindset

  • Low ego and objective collaboration skills.  Able to give and receive constructive criticism on ideas when solving complex problems

Compensation Range: $180K - $200K
