About LivTech

LivTech is building the intelligence platform that provides the full picture of long-term care. We're uniquely positioned to connect data and insights across our product suite - transforming how care is coordinated, delivered, and experienced for seniors. Over the next few years, we're working toward a unified platform that gives caregivers, operators, and families the complete visibility they need to deliver exceptional care.

With 7,000+ customers, 15+ products, and $100M+ in revenue, we're a company with startup energy and real scale. Backed by private equity, we move fast, think big, and ship software that makes a genuine difference in people's lives.

We believe in humility, honest communication, extreme ownership, and quality craftsmanship. We work hard, have fun, and hold ourselves to high standards.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own and evolve the Eldermark user experience. You'll work closely with our Technical Architect to build features on the 2026 roadmap while driving a modernization initiative - introducing shadcn-vue and Tailwind CSS to our Vue 3 codebase, improving component architecture, and establishing patterns that scale.

This is primarily an individual contributor role, but we expect leadership by example: mentoring teammates, championing frontend best practices, and elevating the quality of our user interfaces. For the right person, there are clear paths to technical leadership and/or team leadership as the organization grows.

How We Work: AI-Augmented Development

We expect engineers to leverage AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and similar assistants as part of their daily workflow. Think of it as pair-programming with a capable but junior developer - AI helps generate code quickly, but your senior judgment drives quality. You'll review AI-generated code in real-time, guide it toward the right patterns, and ensure what ships meets our standards. If you're already working this way, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do

  • Build and ship features for Eldermark's healthcare platform, used daily by thousands of senior living communities

  • Lead the adoption of shadcn-vue and Tailwind CSS, modernizing our component library and styling approach

  • Architect scalable Vue 3 components using Composition API and TypeScript

  • Improve developer experience and establish frontend patterns that the team can follow

  • Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and data flow

  • Optimize performance for complex data-heavy interfaces (grids, forms, dashboards)

  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance

Tech Stack

Current

  • Framework: Vue 3 with Composition API and TypeScript

  • UI Libraries: Vuetify 3, Ionic Vue

Where We're Headed

  • shadcn-vue for accessible, customizable component primitives

  • Tailwind CSS for utility-first styling

  • Potentially migrating to Vite for faster builds

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience

  • Expert-level Vue 3 with Composition API and TypeScript

  • Strong understanding of component architecture and state management patterns

  • Experience with modern CSS approaches (Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or design systems)

  • Track record of improving frontend codebases at scale

  • Comfort using AI coding assistants as part of your workflow

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Must be located in the United States (Eastern to Pacific timezone)

Preferred

  • Experience with shadcn (React or Vue) and Tailwind CSS

  • Experience migrating legacy component libraries to modern alternatives

  • Vuetify or similar Material Design framework experience

  • Data-heavy UI experience (AG Grid, complex forms, dashboards)

  • Mobile/hybrid development with Capacitor or Ionic

  • Accessibility (a11y) expertise

  • History of mentoring other engineers
