TrashLab is building the operating system for waste haulers. We’re hiring a Senior Mobile Product Engineer to own core parts of our mobile product across iOS and Android.
This is a product-heavy role. You won’t just implement specs. You’ll talk directly to customers, identify broken workflows, make product decisions, design the UX, and ship.
We’re looking for someone with deep React Native experience, strong product judgment, excellent taste, and high ownership.
You should regularly have a dozen Claude Code / Codex sessions running at once. You use AI to multiply your leverage, and you apply taste to make the product simpler, sharper, and more right for the customer.
What you’ll do
- Own key parts of TrashLab’s mobile app across iOS and Android
- Work directly with customers to understand workflows and pain points
- Turn customer problems into product decisions, UX, and shipped features
- Design simple, sharp mobile experiences for real-world operations
- Ship quickly and iterate from customer feedback
- Use AI aggressively to expand your range, speed, and leverage
- Improve performance, reliability, and overall product quality
What we’re looking for
Strong experience shipping production mobile apps
- Deep experience with React Native
- Strong product instincts and exceptional taste
- Comfortable making product decisions with incomplete information
- Comfortable talking directly to customers
- High ownership and strong execution
- AI-native working style
- Clear communicator with a high bar for quality
Nice to have
- Experience with backend APIs and data models
- Experience with GPS, background tasks, on-device ML/CV, or external hardware integrations
- Experience building products for drivers, logistics, field operations, or workflow-heavy software
