The Role:
We are looking for a QA Engineer, Data Products to join our awesome QA team. You will be expected to document and perform data quality checks across data assets on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This will be the perfect fit for you if you have software quality assurance experience in web-based technologies, a background in computer science, meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Set and meet schedule estimates, timelines, and milestones
- Execute data quality checks on web-based products and ensure high quality of data delivered to platform users
- In conjunction with senior DQ members, identify, report and facilitate performance challenges
- Closely collaborate with Data Analytics team to understand the correct calculations and data pattern expectations
- Review test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure coverage based on requirements
- Test case design, maintenance, and validation
- Plan, create, and document testing for projects
- Track, monitor and document testing results
- Verification of patches and bug fixes
- Help troubleshoot issues and assisting developers with issue analysis
- Work closely with on-site and remote engineering resources across the world
- Collaborate on and learn new technologies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance
- At least one year of hands-on working experience with SQL
- Strong experience in manual testing
- Strong understanding of the SDLC and testing methodologies
- Familiarity with web-delivered applications
- Experience with functional, compatibility, integration, performance, and stress testing
- Experience creating test cases and testing documentation from requirements/specifications
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
- Willing and able to work 12-9pm IST
- Note that our Director of QA is in the U.S. but the majority of the QA team is in India
- Must be willing and able to work in our Mumbai office, hybrid for 3 days/week

- We have quite a few members of the QA team in the Mumbai office so you’ll be able to collaborate with them in-person
Preferred Qualifications:
- Plus if you have professional data analytics working experience
- Plus if you have experience working with large data and a variety of data sources
- Plus if you have experience with REST/API invocation
- Plus if you have experience with automation testing

- Initial interview with Associate Director, QA at WebMD (1 hour)
- Interview with QA Lead (30 min, could be conducted in India time zone)
- Group interview with QA team (45 mins, could be conducted in India time zone)
- Final interview with hiring manager/Director of QA (45 mins)
